Pyramid-of-Plastics.png

A world without plastics is unimaginable today. Owing to their exceptional properties, plastic structural components have already ousted conventional components made of steel or glass from many industry areas. Since not all plastic parts can be manufactured using injection molding techniques, structural components are produced with CNC lathes and milling machines. The correct selection of a material is a crucial step in the product creation process. We can help you to select the appropriate material individually to meet your specific requirements.

PVDF

PVDF is generally used in applications requiring the high purity, strength, and resistance to solvents, acids, bases and heat. Compared to other fluoropolymers, like PTFE, PFA, FEP, it has an easier melt process because of its relatively low melting point of around 177°C.

Main features

Excellent abrasion resistance

Good thermal stability

Resistance to ultraviolet light (UV) and high energy radiation

High resistance to creep under long stress (creep)

High resistance to fatigue during cyclic loading

High dielectric strength

Resistance to most chemicals and solvents

Low water absorption: absorbs less than 5% water at room temperature
