PVDF
PVDF is generally used in applications requiring the high purity, strength, and resistance to solvents, acids, bases and heat. Compared to other fluoropolymers, like PTFE, PFA, FEP, it has an easier melt process because of its relatively low melting point of around 177°C.
Main features
Excellent abrasion resistance
Good thermal stability
Resistance to ultraviolet light (UV) and high energy radiation
High resistance to creep under long stress (creep)
High resistance to fatigue during cyclic loading
High dielectric strength
Resistance to most chemicals and solvents
Low water absorption: absorbs less than 5% water at room temperature
